Metal supergroup Gone Is Gone have announced plans to release their debut full-length album Echolocation, which will pick up where the group’s eponymous debut EP left off.
The band have also released Sentient today, the first track has been boosted from Echolocation, giving us a bit of a peak under the hood of the album. Sentient (below) is an absolute trojan horse of a metal tune; tip toeing through the first half, the band unleash all hell upon the unsuspecting listener from around about the halfway point, which means Echolocation is shaping up to be a thoughtful offering to the metal gods.
Gone Is Gone is the latest venture for At The Drive-In drummer Tony Hajjar, who’s joined by Mastodon member and known side-projector Troy Sanders, as well as Mike Zarin and Queen Of The Stone Ages’ Troy Van Leeuwen.
Gone Is Gone already pack one hell of a punch, so here’s hoping they get to bring Echolocation down under after it’s released on Friday, 6th January.
Listen to Sentient, below.
