Marilyn Manson Lands White Supremacist Role On ‘Sons Of Anarchy’

Shock rocker Marilyn Manson has landed a recurring role on the upcoming seventh and final season of motorcycle gang drama Sons Of Anarchy. It was announced that he will play Ron Tully, a white supremacist and prison yard big shot.

“Sons has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father’s,” Manson said in a statement. “So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of SOA is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle.”

The news comes just weeks after Manson’s mother, Barbara, passed away at age 68 following a long battle with dementia. “I hope I see you again someday. But not now, because I have more things I promised I would do,” wrote the singer in a heartfelt tribute. “I’ll make you proud and satisfied that you know that you made the son you wanted. I love you.”

This is not Manson’s first foray into television acting. Late last year he made an almost unrecognisable cameo on US comedy series Eastbound & Down. He’s also appeared in fantasy series Once Upon a Time and his film credits include 2003's Party Monster as well as and 1999's Jawbreaker.

Sons Of Anarchy premiered in 2008 and follows the lives of a rogue motorcycle gang from California. The series stars Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal and Ron Perlman. Hunnam’s co-star in the 2013 film Pacific Rim, Clifton Collins Jr, recently shared a photo of the Sons leading man hanging out with co-stars Danny Trejo, Emilio Rivera, and a blurry Marilyn Manson.
