What has been a big week for Kiwi wunderkind Lorde has just got even bigger with the announcement of Australian tour dates, seeing the rising star make her way down the east coast as she amps up fans for the release of Pure Heroin, Lorde’s highly anticipated debut album.
All eyes are squarely fixed on the 16-year-old, who has managed to drop two EPs with overwhelming success. Already heavyweights such as Grimes, Moby, the Backstreet Boys and Selena Gomez have tipped their hat to the musician, who won over a huge Splendour In The Grass audience with her last-minute performance.
After news of her impending debut album, Pure Heroine, dropped via social media earlier in the week, we now have an official Australian release date as well. Slated for a Friday, 27th September street date, the 10-track LP has some serious hype to overcome, though considering it contains high-rotation singles Royals and Tennis Court it should have no trouble surpassing expectations.
Earlier this week, Lorde became the first female solo artist in 17 years to top the Billboard charts, so this will be a rare chance to take in her live show before before she hits the big time.
