London Grammar pull out of Splendour in the Grass!
Written by Prue Thomas on 22nd July, 2014
Days out from the start of Australia's favourite mid year musical sabbatical, overnight news broke that London Grammar are no longer able to make it to Australia for the 2014 event.
We send Hannah our best and hope she's fighting fit again very soon. London Grammar sent the following statement to their fans...
"It's with great sadness that we must announce the cancellation of our trip to Australia & Splendour in the Grass this week due to illness. This is an incredibly sad situation for us as our last visit was one of the most memorable of our careers, but we do not feel that we can currently deliver the level of performance that you all deserve from us. Our fans in Australia have been hugely supportive of our music since the very beginning, and it pains us to have to disappoint any of you. We are going to do everything we can to make sure we are back down under as soon as possible and will reschedule our Sydney & Melbourne shows and give you more details very shortly."
Enter THE PRESETS!
Their groundbreaking releases Apocalypso and Pacifica took electronic music to the mainstream and The Presets around the globe! Their new single No Fun is triple j's most played track of the past two weeks and with a mind bending world first six-sided video, The Presets 2014 are - true to form - artists pushing boundaries and operating on the front foot!
The Presets will play the Amphitheatre on Friday from 7.15 - 8.15pm.
Splendour In The Grass Co-producers Jessica Ducrou and Paul Piticco had this to say...
"We're sorry to report that Hannah from London Grammar has been taken ill, after cancelling T In The Park we hoped she would recover in time for Splendour but unfortunately has not. It's been quite a challenge finding a suitable replacement at such short notice but we are pleased to announce The Presets have come to the rescue and will play at Splendour this Friday. "
Whilst beyond our control we are personally very disappointed with the last minute line-up changes but we are thankful for the support from Foals and The Presets stepping up in lightening speed. Here's to a great show!"

A lot of work was directed at traffic management after the first event at North Byron Parklands last year. These efforts were put into action at Falls Festival in January and the result was smooth entry and exit and no traffic congestion.
To further manage traffic and create a greener event, we will again be implementing a car pass system that will encourage carpooling. Car Passes are ON SALE NOW through moshtix.com.au or phone 1300 GET TIX (438 849).

Shuttle services will run between surrounding locations including Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads and North Byron Parklands. Head to splendourinthegrass.com for all the up to date bus schedule information.
