According to Fairfax, the Oasis founder turned up at their sold-out London gig and was overheard by “at least one publication,” telling Holy Holy that they were, “the best band I’ve seen in years.”
The band, led by Tim Carroll and Oscar Dawson, released their debut album When The Storms Would Come and apparently Gallagher has taken a cheeky listen and thinks it’s “brilliant.”
Holy Holy have won more fans than just Gallagher overseas. They have sold out shows all across Europe and the UK and also earned high praise for their debut album from international press.
As to what Gallagher is doing right now, nobody is really sure. His band Beady Eye called it a day at the end of last year and while he was apparently in “serious talks” about a potential Oasis reunion in 2016 nothing has eventuated. Obviously, he’s got plenty of time on his hands to get around to gigs in London.
Meanwhile, Noel is busy firing off expletive-laden slag-pellets at at least 12 other musos in a recent interview. You can check out Gallagher’s words of wisdom, here.
