Lady Gaga Says Her New Album Is Packing A Duet With Florence Welch

Lady Gaga‘s new album is shaping up to be a superstar-studded affair, and that’s only talking about the two songs we know about so far.

The first – the disc’s debut single Perfect Illusion, which dropped yesterday – was produced and performed by a musical mega-squad including Mark Ronson, BloodPop (whose CV includes Justin Bieber’s mega-hit single Sorry) and Australia’s own psych rock king Kevin Parker of Tame Impala, and – it turns out – features noneother than Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age on guitar:

And now Mother Monster has dropped some deets of another song off her forthcoming LP, confirming that she recruited Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine for a vocal duet.

“Me and Florence did a duet together,” she reveals (via NME). “I started to work on an idea for a song that I really wanted to do with a girl and you’ll see why when you hear the music and what the song is about. She’s really to me if not the best but one of the greatest vocalists in the world. She’s incredible.”

Gaga also confirms that the follow up to her 2013 album ARTPOP also features collabs with Beck and Father John Misty.

The as-yet-unnamed record is apparently in its final stages and will be released later this year.
