KSSR Announces First Ever Australian Show
Written by Alex Langlands on 7th November, 2012
KSSR (real name Kiss Reid) has announced the first ever shows of his alternative project, which sees him take a more electronic sound compared to his previous work as frontman of the now departed Australian group The Scare.
And this project is not a spontaneous decision either. Having worked at a recording studio back in 2010 when KSSR was recording several tracks, I can personally assure you that the time, care and dedication Reid has put into this project is second to none, and the music itself is sure to be invading your triple j waves over the coming months.
His new single, Passenger is set for release this Friday on iTunes, accompanied with an extremely artistic video. The single is described by KSSR as “roughhewn beats and really beautiful melodies – and rubbing them up against one another.”
KSSR will play two extremely intimate shows at the beginning of next year – a rare opportunity before the release of his forthcoming album.
KSSR – Australian Tour Dates:
Friday, 11th January
Liberty Social, Melbourne
Friday, 25th January
Brighton Up Bar, Sydney
