Everyone knows that Toto’s Africa is one of the greatest songs of all time. Nobody’s about to dispute that.
But the song has just been injected with a brand new shot of awesomeness – taking it to unprecedented levels of awesome – thanks to the world’s most adorable couple, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard.
The pair went on a romantic trip to the very place that inspired Toto’s most beloved anthem (Africa) to film their very own music video tribute.
Why? Well, it was the last trip that the pair would take together before ruining their lives having children. And in their own words, their “sole objective was to rage hard and honour Toto properly”.
As The Music reports, the couple were so committed to the clip that they actually ended up copping a fine for illegally dancing with the native wildebeest.
“We wanted to see the wildebeest migrate so we had driven five hours in the car, we finally got to them on the Serengeti, we got out of the car [and] we started doing a dance for this music video,” Shepard said. “We weren’t paying attention and then the Serengeti police showed up and they fined us $50 for dancing at the Serengeti.”
A small price to pay to showcase their mutual love for one another, and Toto, to the world.
