Following an incident during a performance in Birmingham, UK in which a fan stripped entirely nude mid-concert, Tennessee rockers Kings of Leon say they wouldn’t mind seeing more of their fans get naked during their shows, beseeching them to strip down and “add a little variety to our show.”
After the male fan stripped entirely nude during the Birmingham show, the brothers Followill invited the intrepid streaker backstage for a beer. Now, NME reports that during an interview with Q Magazine, the Sex on Fire hit-makers revealed they would welcome any further mid-show nudity.
“We are all married, all very faithful and kinda boring now, so it wouldn’t hurt to see a little nudity at a concert, but it never happens!” drummer Nathan Followill told the UK music magazine. “I think that was the last nudity; the Birmingham Sausage! It did spice up the show a little bit.”
“We’re up there pouring our hearts out and if someone wants to show us a little skin, then that will only add a little variety to our show,” added frontman Caleb Followill. “So anyone out there, preferably of the female variety… but if anyone wants to hang a little dong we’ll look at that too.”
Speaking to us back in December, Jared and Matthew Followill confirmed that the band will tour Australia in 2014, saying, “This is arguably our favourite country to tour. We’ve always had a great reception here…we will one-hundred percent be here next year at some point.” With the boys’ recent comments, it looks like it will be a very interesting tour indeed.
