Mick Jagger Is Responsible For Germany’s Rout Of Brazil, Says Brazil

Brazilian soccer fans are out for the blood of Mick Jagger, dubbing the Rolling Stones frontman “pe frio,” which loosely translates as “the jinx.” The rocker and soccer fan has backed a number of losing teams during the World Cup, most recently supporting Brazil in their 7-1 loss to Germany.
As Billboard reports, Jagger watched Germany’s humiliating rout of this year’s host country and Cup favourites from a VIP box at the Mineirao stadium in Belo Horizonte alongside his 15-year-old son Lucas, whose mother happens to be a native Brazilian – model and celebrity Luciana Giminez.
Although he rocked an England cap during the match, his presence at the stadium was the subject of lighthearted mockery from Brazilian fans, some of whom, as NME reports, have dubbed him “The Angel Of Doom,” while TV station R7 have referred to Sir Mick as, “The biggest jinx in history.”
And though fans may only be poking fun at the rocker, they may actually have a case for this whole “pe frio” thing. According to Billboard, during a recent Rolling Stones show in Rome, Jagger suggested Italy would advance to the knockout stage of the Cup. They promptly lost to Uruguay.
He then told fans in Lisbon that Portugal would win its first World Cup this year, shortly before they were eliminated in the group stage. Jagger also tweeted good luck wishes to the English national team shortly before their 2-1 loss to Italy and their 2-1 loss to Uruguay. He also backed a string of losers during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, including the USA, England, and yes, Brazil.
However, Giminez is having none of it and took to Instagram to defend Jagger, writing, “I would like to ask you guys who do this kind of bullying to think before you do it. Even though it only seems like a small thing, Mick is a person like us all. He does not deserve to be treated this way by Brazilians.”
