Kanye West’s New Album Gets Australian Premiers & New Name

Say goodbye to SWISH, because Kanye West just changed the title of his forthcoming seventh album yet again, for reasons only Kanye knows.

With SWISH now ruled out, Yeezy has taken to Twitter to let fans in on his decision for the album, which looks set for release on Friday, 11th February. Here’s what he said:

As Pitchfork reports, SWISH WAVES will be performed in its entirety on 11th February at New York City’s Madison Square Garden as part of the “Yeezy Season 3” fashion line unveiling, and the performance will be screened in select theatres as well.

Currently, Australian cinema company Hoyts has listed screenings of the performance in Sydney and Melbourne on 12th February, but let’s hope more are on the way.

Earlier this week, Kanye tweeted the tracklisting for WAVES, which includes already shared tracks Real Friends (below), No More Parties in LA, Wolves and Fade. All Day and Only One don’t seem to have made the cut, though.

Being the modest chap that he is, Kanye also said that he was, “So happy to be finished with the best album of all time.” We’re not kidding.

Then, earlier today, he talked up the album again, just for good measure:

Prior to calling his new album SWISH, Kanye had given the record the working title So Help Me God. Catch WAVES track Real Friends, below.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Yeezy might be working on a David Bowie tribute album, but those rumours were later debunked by his management.
