CHECK OUT THE LATEST
Jimi Hendrix’s 1969 Woodstock performance continues to be remembered as one of the most iconic and influential performances to date. With political tensions rising, social change became an underlying factor into the shaping of America’s future, and one man sound-tracked this change: Hendrix.
The story goes that at the peak of the summer of love, Hendrix took the stage at the 1969 Woodstock Festival, and played his last, true concert, before his mind was consumed by numerous drugs and alcoholic substances; however, it still remains as one of the greatest performances in rock history. The release comes in celebration of what would be his 70th Birthday.
Speaking out about the release, via NME, Hendrix’s sister said that “This film reflects a legendary event in our history as well as a true pinnacle of Jimi’s career. We celebrate his 70th birthday as we continue to celebrate his legacy”.
It will be fully restored and remastered and released with 5.1 audio surround mix, ensuring that its true sound is realised.
