After spending much of the year exploding throughout the UK, Brixton-born siren Jessie Ware now has her sights firmly set on Australian audiences.
It was her highly successful collaboration with super producer SBTRKT on Right Thing to Do that initially brought attention to the vocal stylings of the 27-year-old Ware. From there the singer/songwriter broke free on her own journey, a road which she currently walks down confidently since the release of her debut Devotion.
The release saw Ware being included in the hopefuls for this year’s Mercury Prize. Her ability to balance immediacy with absolute class in her music as she glides through electronic soundscapes, topped with her soulful abilities as a sonic storyteller, saw the release well-received by peers and music lovers the world over.
Her live show has had crowds throughout the US and Europe in a trance. With two intimate and exclusive Aussie venues selected for the tour, the same deal is sure to happen here.
