Homebake Reveals 2013 Date – Promises Massive 18th Birthday ‘Party In The Park’
Written by Mike Hohnen on 28th February, 2013
One of our most habitually awesome festivals, Homebake, has locked in a date for its 2013 return. Organisers have also announced that its going to be a doozy, plotting a ‘massive 18th Birthday’ for the festival.
Saturday, 7th December is when it will all be going down; it will be a massive day of Australian music. We will soon find out whether the temporary visa granted to Blondie last year will be bequeathed to another foreign outfit, or if that was just a crazy one off.
18 years, wow, they grow up so quick. The first line-up featured the likes of Spiderbait, Silverchair and Grinspoon, and a similar level of quality ever since.
The first of its kind was in 1996 up in Byron and was at two different locations. Over the years it has become more of an institution, taking on more of a BDO vibe than a SITG vibe, but great times all the same.
As per the Facebook Post, “we’re going to celebrate the past, present & future”, so we can no doubt expect big things for 2013.
