Have A Listen To Panic! At The Disco’s ‘Suicide Squad’ Cover Of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’

While Suicide Squad may be getting murdered by the critics at the moment, the soundtrack seems to be the one aspect of the film everyone is pretty happy with. Of all the many songs included on the soundtrack though (including songs from 21 Pilots, Mark Ronson and more) Panic! At The Disco’s cover of classic Queen track Bohemian Rhapsody has been one of the most eagerly anticipated.

Despite having played the song live for quite some time – including at the 2016 Alternative Press Music Awards’s where they took home Song Of The Year and Best Music Video – this is the first we’ve heard of the studio version. Well now it’s here, and I’ll be damned if it isn’t bloody epic, with the band premiering the cover on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show on Apple Music.

It goes without saying though that there is only one Freddie Mercury, and no vocal performance will ever live up to his iconic original rendition of the song. Still singer Brendon Urie does as great a job as possible without actually bringing the great mustached one back from the dead. Which, for the record, I’m not against.

Have a listen to the studio version and check out their live performance of the song at the 2016 APMA’s below.
