Have A Listen To Amity Affliction’s New Track ‘Shine On’, Ft. A Children’s Choir

Following on from news earlier last week that The Amity Affliction would have something to announce, the band have just dropped a new track, Shine On.

The fresh tune came with a viral marketing campaign to rival even David Jones’ latest run, with some mysterious yellow posters bearing the band’s logo and the words Shine On going viral on social media.

The posters also sported a Shine On Young Love website address, which lead to a digital dead end, until it sprang to life yesterday with details of the single’s release and links to the merch range and photo app.

Soon to embark on the Big Ass Tour with co-headliners A Day To Remember and supports The Ghost Inside and Motionless In White, fans won’t have to wait long until they get a chance to hear the song in the flesh.

And with this being the first new music released since 2014’s Let The Ocean Take Me (barring the bonus tracks Skeletons and Farewell from the Deluxe Edition re-release), there’s chance we may even get to hear more new material soon.

“Yeah absolutely we’ve got Ahren [Stringer, bass/vocals] and Dan [Brown, guitarist] have about 15 songs written so far,” vocalist Joel Birch told triple j. “We’re looking to get into the studio in January and then finish up in early March.

“We’ll have the album finished – mixed and everything – in April and then we’ll just have to sit on it, I guess.”

The track is available to purchase and can be heard across streaming platforms right now. Have a listen to the newie below.
