‘Harlem Shake’ Mastermind Baauer Announces Australian Tour Dates
Written by Mike Hohnen on 21st February, 2013
With the latest viral sensation the Harlem Shake cruising high atop a massive wave of online support, Baauer is bringing his club-killer status Down Under for a run of headlining shows.
At just 23, Baauer, who also goes by the name Harry Rodrigues, has earned some pretty sweet street cred. With one foot in the electronic world, and the other in hip hop, his vibe is difficult to overlook and with past experiences including remixing for No Doubt and Flosstradamus and, of course, dropping a #1 single with that much viral potential, Baauer is insanely hot right now.
By now, everyone has surely seen at least 7 different versions of the Harlem Shake. The craze itself actually started in Queensland when a couple of banana benders uploaded the first video of its kind. Fast forward a couple of weeks and you’ll find around 40,000 different versions, totalling a massive 180 million YouTube views.
You’re not going to want to miss this tour and the potential for the greatest ever Harlem Shake clip is so damn high.
