Glasvegas have decided to change the title of their upcoming third album, due out in 2013. As reported, the Scottish quartet decided to rename their currently under construction LP Later… When the TV Turns to Static after a new song that will appear on the album.
When NME spoke to frontman James Allan in October, the singer/guitarist said that the album would be called Whoever Shouts the Loudest. Glasvegas started work on their third album back in January. Later… When the TV Turns to Static will follow up 2011's Euphoric Heartbreak.
Despite gathering plenty of positive reviews, Euphoric Heartbreak sold poorly and led to Glasvegas splitting from major label Columbia. When speaking to NME about the drama that surrounded the band’s second album, Allan is hopeful that Euphoric Heartbreak will still leave its mark over time.
“It’s hard for any artist to really understand why someone would have a connection to their passion,” Allan told NME. “There are records I didn’t like at first but grew to love over time – ‘Euphoric…’ may be one of those for other people. They’ve just got to get to know it better.”
