Garbage have announced some headline tour dates on the back of their appearance on the Soundwave 2013 lineup. They’ll be playing two shows, including one at the Metro Theatre in Sydney on 25th February, and one at the Forum in Melbourne on 27th February.

Known for their blended mix of electro and pop-rock sound, Garbage have established themselves as on iconic band in the Alternative scene throughout the 90s and 00s. Returning from a six-year hiatus to release their latest album Not Your Kind of People, they haven’t missed a beat at all, and really how could you when you’ve got a sticks-man like Butch Vig behind you.

Joining them will be The Deer Hunter, who have currently released The Colour Spectrum, a nine-EP volume of music that is rife with passion, poignancy, and powerful imagery.
