Future Music Festival 2014 Lineup Begins To Leak?

The lineup for Future Music 2014 is set to be revealed tomorrow, Tuesday 17th September, but it looks like some people in the know couldn’t keep their excitement contained for an extra day – it’s being reported that Australian festival favourites Rudimental will be announced as part of the FMF 2014 bill.

Electronic music blog Stoney Roads claim that the drum and bass quartet have been “announced” for the festival, which is due to take place in March next year.

It was already known that Rudimental would be a part of the official 2014 launch party for the festival, with the band due to play the special invite-only event at Bondi Beach tomorrow. A lineup announcement featuring the band playing the event would certainly seem to make sense.

The first Australian visit for Rudimental came earlier this year as part of the Future 2013 lineup, and they are currently on their second tour of the country, making an appearance at Future 2014 the third time in one year the band have visited Australia.

Future Music recently announced their “strategic alliance” with Mushroom, with details of their debt-shedding restructure making headlines in recent weeks. The festival has also been hyping a “blockbuster” lineup announcement, with Iranian producer Dubfire another potential addition to the lineup. Meanwhile, superstar DJ Eric Prydz, a good fit for the festival’s vibe, has also been teasing an Australian announcement.

Future Music 2014 kicks off in Brisbane on 1st March, 2014, making its way around the country. The first lineup announcement is expected to made some time tomorrow.
