CHECK OUT THE LATEST
Foo Fighters have told fans to “keep an eye out” for a “worldwide” announcement coming Monday. The news comes shortly after it was confirmed that the band’s latest album has been completed and that the first track to be taken from the record will premiere with their forthcoming HBO series.
“Ladies and Gents… keep an eye out here for some big news coming on Monday,” write the band in a post to their official Facebook page. After a fan asked if the “big news” would pertain to the band’s “worldwide” fan base or merely to the US, the band assured them that this is a “Worldwide!” deal.
Last week, the band confirmed that the first song to be taken from the band’s presently untitled forthcoming album will premiere along with the Stateside debut of their new documentary series, Sonic Highways. HBO is set to air the first episode of the show on Friday, 17th October.
While there’s been no mention of an Australian release for the series, which documents the recording of the band’s latest album in famous studios across the US, the band has teased a potential Aussie tour. The Foos told Australian fans back in May that it’s been “WAYYY too long.”
Meanwhile, frequent Foos collaborator and producer on the latest album, Butch Vig, recently took to Twitter to confirm that the band’s highly anticipated new album is officially complete. “We are officially done with the new Foo Fighters album. 23 straight days mixing! IT’S EPIC!!!” he wrote.
Besides being a “worldwide” announcement, no other details have been offered about the “big news” set for Monday, but most fans are speculating that it will have to do with the new album. Besides a November release timeframe, few details about the album have been given to fans.
