It’s no secret that the Foo Fighters are planning to tour Australia sometime soon. But the curiosity surrounding exactly when, and which cities they’ll visit, looks set to be sated this week with the Foos set to deliver some “massive news” this Thursday morning, according to Triple M.
Triple M’s Grill Team tweeted about the impending announcement last night, posting, “Massive news for Foo Fighters fans. Listen 8:05am Thurs to hear it first on 104.9 Triple M.” Now, perhaps the Foos are just calling in to say g’day, but we think it’s more likely the band will confirm a 2015 Australian Tour.
Foos fans have been clamouring for any kind of confirmation on an upcoming tour pretty much since their last tour ended, but when Frontier Touring put up a SomethingNothingOzNz page last week, we knew it was time to get a bit toey.
The page is increasingly filled with cryptic clues, suggesting when and where the Foos might play in Australia and New Zealand. Some of the more recent, official clues include Grohl in devil costume from Tenacious D’s Tribute video, and there are also a fair few numbers popping up: 2000, 6000, 5000. Reckon they might be postcodes? Hopefully we’ll be in the know come Thursday.
Earlier this week Foo Fighters shared The Feast and The Famine, the second single off upcoming eighth studio album Sonic Highways , due out Monday, 10th November. Go ahead and have a listen to The Feast and The Famine below.
