Foo Fighters are further teasing the promise of new material and dropping hints about a possible tour with a Facebook post directed at their fans Down Under, imploring them to sign up to their fan page, “cause you never know where/when the Foo’s may show up.”
The Foos took to Facebook earlier today, letting their “AU/NZ pals” know its been “WAYYY too long” and linking to their Foo Fighters website so fans can sign up and make sure they “stay up on all the news.”
A Foo Fighters tour has been teased since late last year when a report in Adelaide’s The Advertiser mentioned the group may be playing at the redeveloped Adelaide Oval later in 2014.
Adding further fuel to the fire, promoters Frontier Touring have shared the post via their own social network channels.
The Foos’ as-yet-untitled eighth studio album — which definitely won’t sound like Radiohead — is set to drop later this year alongside the release of their very own television show on HBO. Foo Fighters’ last Australian tour was in 2011 and sold out massive stadiums across the country.
If you’re in the mood, check a time lapse video from that tour, showing the scale of a Foo Fighters gig. Epic.
