Five Songs You Need To Hear Before OutsideIn Festival

It's just over a month until Astral People's OutsideIn hits Sydney bringing with it some of the coolest names in electronica and hip-hop. Tickets are on sale now via moshtix to see the bill topped by The Pharcyde and also featuring Seekae, Rome Fortune, Pantha Du Prince and plenty more.

Astral People have made a name for picking new up-and-comers, so it's inevitable that much of the lineup be churning out new music by the bucket load. We've searched through all the great tunes coming from OutsideIn's huge array of artists and come up with five that you must hear before you go.

Flight Facilities- Two Bodies (HNNY Remix)

You'd be forgiven for thinking that Aussie duo Flight Facilties new tune, Two Bodies, couldn't get anymore delectable but it turns out it can. Swedish producer HNNY has laid down an atmospheric beat below Emma Louise's breathy vocals, translating it into a late-night, swirling melody. HNNY has amassed quite a following on Soundcloud but this may be his breakout remix.

Collarbones- Turning

Now approaching the release of their third album, 'Return', Collarbones have become one of the most competent live electronic acts in the country. Turning is the first track off the next album and it sees them embrace their pop sensibilities with a joyful, '90s-inspired track. Don't take your eyes off the video either. It's a kitsch, totally bizarre trip through the ever-interesting minds of Collarbones.

Porter Robinson- Lionhearted (Giraffage remix)

Porter Robinson's original of Lionhearted is one of the most anthemic tracks of the year but in the hands of American bedroom producer, Giraffage, the track becomes delicate and anxious yet still just as spine-tingling. It's a perfect slice of future garage and only a small taster of what this eclectic producer has to offer in his live sets.

Kimbra- 90s Music (Client Liason re-work)

If you haven't heard Client Liason, you may already recognise them. The duo dresses like they are straight from an Ansett Australia ad from the '90s complete with mullets and shoulder pads. Their re-work of Kimbra's bombastic '90s Music is exactly as their image suggests - nostalgic, over-the-top and bundles of fun. Expect to be transported to another era with these local boys at OutsideIn.

Rome Fortune- Small VVorld

Ok, we admit it, we're cheating a bit here. Small VVorld is an entire album rather than just one song, but it's too good to pick just one. The free album features production by British producer Four Tet and Grimes collaborator Blood Diamonds, as well as a guest-verse by rapper-of-the-moment ILOVEMAKONNEN. On top of that, there are, of course, Rome Fortune's gritty, free-flowing raps, which you'll hear in abundance at OutsideIn.

OutsideIn hit Sydney on 29 November and is bringing with it:
