CHECK OUT THE LATEST
British rockers Enter Shikari have unveiled their huge new single Redshift, which comes about a year since their latest album, The Mindsweep.
Redshift arrives with a pretty spacey music video (below) directed by Mike Tyler, who was at the helm for the group’s Anesthetist and Torn Apart clips. The song itself, which was produced by the band and their Mindsweep producer Dan Weller, pumps with energetic choruses and vocal hooks before reaching an epic climax.
Speaking about the song’s meaning, Enter Shikari vocalist Rou Reynolds says, “Redshift is a song about bloody good luck! On the grandest of scales! Literally!
“Our universe is expanding faster and faster and a few trillion years from now, everything will have sped away from us so fast that all we would see when looking out from Earth is empty space. We would deduce that we were totally alone in the universe. A lost sheep. The last and only biscuit in the tin.”
Enter Shikari last toured Australia in May 2015, so they next time they come down under it looks like they could have a bunch of fresh material to show off. Until then, catch Redshift below.
