Empire Of The Sun Perform New Track ‘Alive’… Live!

Currently one of our most happening EDM exports, Empire Of The Sun are gearing up for the release of their latest album Ice On The Dune and by the looks of things, having a spectacular time performing the new tracks live. Recently, the band busted out one of their new gems Alive at Dallas’ House Of Blues and the whole shebang was caught on film, professionally might I add.

As you can see, the duo haven’t stepped too far away from the razzle-dazzle we’ve come to expect from them. Bringing a handful of back up dancers, crazy costumes and generally heaps of shiny things, they unleashed an almost seizure-inducing performance of the track.

The new single is just about as big a spectacle as the show, a massive wall of synth pop, the relentless falsetto of Luke Steele all on a grand, grand scale. A lot of the impact will be lost in translation via the video footage but the crowd seemed to be totally in awe of the display.

Back in April, Alive was given the full video clip service, so while the track itself might have done the rounds, this is the first glimpse of what it will look like live, so pay attention Vivid LIVE goers, this is what you can expect.
