Dinosaur Jr. Announce March Tour Dates
Written by Marc Zanotti on 9th November, 2012
Dinosaur Jr. have announced a whole heap of headlining shows centred around their appearance at next year’s Golden Plains Festival. In June, Dinosaur Jr. released their latest LP I Bet On Sky, the 10th studio album from the band and the third since Dinosaur Jr’s reformation in 2005.
A recent album review praised I Bet On Sky, labelling opening track Don’t Pretend You Didn’t Know as, “the most powerful opening track Mascis has ever written” and that it gave, “the impression of an old band with a young essence.” In short, the review summed up I Bet On Sky by stating that it, “flippin’ rocks”!
The celebrated American alternative rock band will be touring Australia with a varied selection of supports, including Straightjacket Nation and White Walls at The Corner Hotel, Redd Kross and Royal Headache at The Hi-Fi, and The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion along with Moon Duo while in Perth.
