Descendents Announce Australian Tour With Bouncing Souls, Frenzal Rhomb & Bodyjar

Punk rock icons Descendents will be returning to Australia first thing next year, bringing with them a gang of some of the finest talent punk has to offer.

It’s almost a mini festival: Bounching Souls, Frenzal Rhomb and now Bodyjar. Descendents sure know how to put on a tour, and given that they only made their Australian debut back in 2010 with No Sleep Til, they have a lot of shows to make up for!

One of the most influential and idolised bands to ever emerge from the scene, the only thing more badass then their records is seeing them on a stage in front of you, something Brissy, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth can now prepare for. Bouncing Souls fans who missed out on seeing them back in 2010 on account of all the sold-out shows and such will now have a chance to make up for it. Smashing through the big 2-0 back in 2009, it’s almost like someone forgot to tell these guys, who rage and carry on on stage like it’s still the 90s.

Aussie legends Frenzal Rhomb, now 10 years and 8 albums deep in the game, still seem to be on the rise. Their latest album, Smoko at the Pet Food Factory, was recorded by Descendents very own Bill Stevenson and earnt the band nominations for both AIR and ARIA accolades. Well and truly alive and kicking once more, Bodyjar returned to Aussie stages last year after taking a bit of a breather. Now having released their classic 1998 album No Touch Red on vinyl, the band are certainly back in fine form.
