The clip, which has been shared by Laundry Room Studio (owned by longtime Foo Fighters producer Barrett Jones), sees Grohl listen back to a 1990 version of the song, which is said to be the first track he ever wrote and recorded solo. A different take of the track was released by Grohl’s former hardcore band Scream in 1993, with Grohl on vocals.
“This is a different version than the Scream one,” Laundry Room Studio explains on YouTube. “He was in Scream at the time but this was the first song he ever recorded on his own playing all the instruments.”
In the video, Grohl and Jones listen back to the original 8-track tapes of the song, as Grohl jokes about his voice.
“I sound like a girl,” he says. “I don’t think my balls had dropped yet.”

Foo Fighters are reportedly recording a new album this year, as the follow-up to Sonic Highways and their 2015 EPs Songs From The Laundry Room and Saint Cecilia.
