Hip hop legends Cypress Hill have revealed they are “actively speaking” with the London Symphony Orchestra to make their iconic collaboration on The Simpsons happen in the real world.
The two groups lightheartedly said last year they’d be interested in collaborating to celebrate their appearance together on the Simpsons episode ‘Homerpalooza’, but Cypress Hill’s Louis ‘B-Real’ Freese has now confirmed that a project is in the works involving the band’s 1993 album Black Sunday.
Speaking with reporter Emmy Mack this week, B-Real said Cypress Hill are “figuring out how to make [it] work, to play our Black Sunday album together”.
“We don’t have a date, it’s still tentative, we’re trying to work out all the details,” he said.
“It’s quite an endeavour to have [London Symphony Orchestra] learn the songs and actually figure out where the venue and all that shit’s going to go. But that is something we are trying to figure out.”
