Nobody is safe from Corey Taylor’s wrath. The Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman is once again on the diss, this time taking aim at Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose for his reputation as the least punctual man in rock n’ roll.
Taylor, whom has recently turned the-slagging-off-of-people-places-and-things into a legitimate artform (oh, and a book), has trashed the perpetually tardy Gunners singer during an interview with Opie Radio in the US.
The whole thing went down after a listener called in to criticise the maggot master for something he himself did at a festival he was performing at alongside Gunners, a few years back. The infamous incident, which the Slipknot frontman has dicsussed at length during many of his solo spoken word tours, saw him free his bollocks from their trousered home and place them upon Rose’s grand piano, which was in an off-limits room backstage, mind you.
“How dare you do that to someone like Axl?” the listener quizzed Taylor on the radio show. To which CMFT replied: “Knowing Axl, it’s quite easy. I mean, anybody who makes his fans wait for two to three hours for him to go onstage, I have no respect for.”
Despite the listener’s best attempt to explain that Gunners fans know and accept that they’ll likely be forced to wait hours for Axl to begin each concert, Taylor was having none of it: “I love Guns N’ Roses, dude. I love Appetite [For Destruction]. I think that’s a fantastic album,” he disclaimered.
“But when you make your fans wait that long — and I don’t give a f**k what hard-on just said: ‘Oh, we expect it.’ Well, you’re a f**king idiot then. All right? Figure it the f**k out.”
Taylor then drove the knife even deeper: “You know why there are really no original f**king members of Guns N’ Roses left? Because [Axl] made ’em wait three f**king hours! You want an Appetite reunion? Tell him to f**king stop being a douchebag.”
You can watch it all go down in the video below. We’ve also thrown in another video of one of Taylor’s spoken word tours for good measure, in which he discusses the famous balls-on-piano incident.
The Axl comments come hot on the heels of Taylor’s very public Grade-A verbal smackdown of Kanye West.
The Slipknot singer also recently stopped by the Reddits for an AMA sesh, the highlights of which you can check out here.
