Converge Heading Down Under For 2013 Tour
Written by Mike Hohnen on 9th November, 2012
US Hardcore legends Converge have announced that they will be gracing our shores with their presence for the first time since 2010. The lads will be heading down in February, a great way to kick off the year.
It’s been some time since anyone has heard from the band, really. The band broke a 3-year musical drought with the spectacular All We Love We Leave Behind. The latest release from the band saw them tick all the right boxes with serious tastemakers such as Kerrang!, Pitchfork, Spin and BBC Music, amongst all of whom the album found considerable traction.
Converge are widely agreed to be up there with some of the most influential and important hardcore bands of all time, pushing beyond the concept of a cult band into something more of a religion. Joining Converge will be fellow countrymen, sludge rockers Old Man Gloom.
