Late Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell has been honoured with a cover of ‘Black Hole Sun’ at the 2018 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony.

The tribute saw Alice In Chains’ Jerry Cantrell team up with Heart’s Ann Wilson to perform the Soundgarden track in front of a projection of Cornell, who died of suicide in May 2017 at the age of 52. Watch footage of the cover, below.

This year’s Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony also saw Bon Jovi reunite with guitarist Richie Sambora for the first time since 2013.

Bon Jovi were also inducted into the Rock Hall Of Fame, alongside Dire Straits, Moody Blues, The Cars and the late Nina Simone.

Meanwhile, it was recently announced that Chris Cornell’s death will be examined in an upcoming episode of the autopsy TV show Autopsy: The Last Hours Of…, with an actor already cast to portray the singer-songwriter.

Chris Cornell‘s widow Vicky Cornell gave her first televised interview since her husband’s death in February, saying, “He was the best husband, the greatest father. I lost my soulmate and the love of my life.”
