Canberra Craft Beer Degustation

The National Press Club in Canberra is probably best-known as the venue for key speeches from the movers, shakers and leaders (political, business, social and thought) of Australia. It has developed a reputation nationally and internationally as Australia's leading forum for the discussion of issues and debate on public policy in a lively, informative and entertaining format.

When: 16 August
Where: National Press Club, Canberra, ACT
Cost: $120 - members; $135 - non-members

And now, in August, this august, opinion-shaping institution is turning its attention to craft beer with a six-course degustation. Each course, from canap s to cheese, will be matched to a craft beer from a local ACT brewery. But there is also a significant James Squire element to the night, with Dr Chuck Hahn presenting Hop Thief 6 American-style Pale Ale (along with Kosciuszko Pale Ale and a mystery craft beer) to the lucky attendees.
