Byron Bay's blues and roots festival, Bluesfest has announced a barrage of huge artists in its first line-up announcement with tickets on sale now. For its 26th year the festival has pulled together a line-up headed up by American bluesy-rock duo The Black Keys, country-stars Zac Brown Band and deep-south soul-rockers, Alabama Shakes. Based on the strength of the first Bluesfest acts announced tickets are likely to go quickly and can be bought here on Moshtix.
The lineup oscillates between old favourites and newbies with Train and Band of Skulls playing for the first time and Paul Kelly and Xavier Rudd making a welcome-return.
Bluesfest continuously pulls together a massive collective of artists with this year's event proceeded by six line-up announcements. 2014's 25th Anniversary saw John Mayer, Erykah Badu and Dave Matthews Band head up the huge lineup. On the merit of this first round of acts, 2015 could be even bigger.
The Festival will run from 2 - 6 April 2015, over Easter with five nights and days of live music to soak up.
