CHECK OUT THE LATEST
Fast becoming one of the biggest live music events to hit the southern Gold Coast, Bleach* Festival is set to return in 2013, with a lineup even bigger than last year’s. Teaming up with triple j, Bleach* Festival has now pulled back the veil on their lineup, well, half of it at least, much to the delight of soon-to-be ticket holders.
Staggered over a matter of days, the festival kicks off February 16 and won’t stop until March 3rd. In that time, organisers will be taking the party from the venues to the beach, making the most of the picturesque environment surrounding the happenings.
The well-roadworked and critically acclaimed Bubsy Marou will be featured on the opening night alongside Thelma Plum and a yet-to-be-announced horde of talent, all showcasing their goods on the dunes of the iconic Burleigh Beach. As the shenanigans continue through to the following weekend, indie disco champions Oh Mercy will take the stage at The Coolangatta hotel, along with rising stars Loon Lake and Oceanics.
Bringing in some much needed conscious hip hop will be current king of the scene Urthboy with genre pals Diafrix and Seven.
Arguably leaving the best for last, Bleach* Festival will burn out in style. Fresh from their 2-year stint in the US, the latest addition to the I Oh YOU family Violent Soho will surely have some new goods for us by that stage, along with Kingswood, who are fast coming into their own, and touring machines The Medics.
More info will be coming through in the next weeks, so stay tuned for more goodies, including the rest of the lineup.
