Black Sabbath Announce Australian Tour For Next Year

It’s official: iconic metal band Black Sabbath have announced that they will be touring Australia next year. Rumours of Black Sabbath raining down fire and brimstone upon our shores gained traction yesterday after touring company Live Nation posted a video (since removed) on their Australian/New Zealand Facebook page that concluded with ‘chanting masses’ and links to Black Sabbath merch.

An image posted at 7pm sharp that simply read “4 Hours #darknessdecends”, with the attached comment from Live Nation Australia & New Zealand, “There’ll be no tricks this year… In four hours we have a MAJOR Halloween treat for you…” further sparked the hype that a tour announcement was pending.

The predictions turned out to be correct, and the suspense is now finally over. Black Sabbath (currently consisting of original members Geezer Butler, Tony Iomni and Ozzy Osbourne) will be in Australia during April and May of next year. By the time Sabbath touch down they should be armed with their brand new album, and fans should expect new songs such as God Is Dead along with some of greatest metal anthems of all-time including War Pigs and Paranoid.

Entertainment Centre, Brisbane

Saturday, 27th April

Wednesday, 1st May
