Beyoncé‘s career has gone to dizzying to new heights this year, with her incredible 2017 album Lemonade seeing B nominated for a whopping nine Grammys, and even more significantly gaining airtime on triple j.
But it turns out that not everything has gone her way this year, and it turns out that Beyoncé is facing a lawsuit of the use of the ‘Roc-A-Fella Records’ logo in one of her video clips.
The video in question is her 2013 release Drunk In Love featuring Jay Z, and TMZ reports that the creator of the logo Dwayne Walker wants Beyoncé to either take the video down or pay him for the use of the logo.
Walker claims that the logo is displayed “prominently” in the clip and that Bey never asked for permission to display it – however the logo is only displayed for a brief second care of a chain that Jay Z wears in the clip.
Additionally, earlier this year a judge threw out a $7 million case against Jay Z and Dame Dash for their use of the logo.
