The Gaslight Anthem Planning February 2015 Australian Tour

The Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon had told Music Feeds the band are eyeing February 2015 as a timeframe for their next Australian tour. Fallon also didn’t rule out playing Soundwave, but festival promoter AJ Maddah seemingly has other plans on that front.

“The timeframe now is kicking around February. That’s what we’re looking at right now,” said Fallon when asked when the band would return Down Under. “We’re trying to get to New Zealand too ’cause we’ve never been there, so we’re trying to hit that. So it’ll be cool, I’ve never seen it.”

Asked about the possibility of a return to Soundwave, which The Gaslight Anthem previously played in 2011 and kicks off again the February, Fallon told Music Feeds, “I mean, it feels like that would be the move to make. I wouldn’t mind. I had a really good time on Soundwave last time, so if they want us to do it again I’m fine with that.”

However, Maddah seems to have his heart set on a headline tour for the New Jersey alternative four-piece. The promoter told a fan via Twitter that there’s a “pretty good chance” of a tour in 2015, but replied simply “nope” when asked if there was the possibility of a Soundwave 2015 appearance.

The band announced the details of their fifth studio album, Get Hurt, back in June and the record will finally see release later this month. Taking to their Facebook page at the time of announcement, the band suggested fans should “Get ready for some things you’ve never heard this band do” before hearing the new album.
