Aussie Bloke Jailed For Selling Fake Ed Sheeran Tickets

An Australian trickster has been sentenced to four weeks in a Singapore jail for hocking forged VIP tickets to Ed Sheeran‘s recent concert in the Asian city-state.

56-year-old Paul Cosgrove was reportedly involved in a scam racket selling fake ‘All Area Access’ passes to the tunesmith’s Singapore show in November.

News Corp reports (from local media sources) that Cosgrove and his accomplices — a Brit and two Kiwis — flogged the forged passes for AU$242 a pop and used them to successfully sneak “numerous” Sheerios into the sold-out gig.

But in the end, it seems Cosgrove’s own thirst for Sheeran was his ultimate downfall, as he was caught while trying to use one of the passes himself.

Prosecutors allege that the Aussie and his A-Team of scammers made around AUD$2,000 from their little con.

He was found guilty of abetment by conspiracy and given four weeks in jail to think about what he’s done.

This one goes out to you, Cosgrove.
