Australian indie rockers Augie March have announced their return to the scene, closing out a five year hiatus, and to the further delight of adoring fans the band say they will be delivering their fifth studio album towards the end of 2014.
Since their inception in 1997, Augie March have released four acclaimed records. Debut album Sunset Studies is now almost gold and includes tracks Asleep In Perfection and There Is No Such Place while its 2002 successor, Strange Bird was lauded by critics worldwide.
2006's Moo, You Bloody Choir contained the APRA Song of the Year, One Crowded Hour, of which film star Johnny Depp publicly pronounced his love for, and followed that record up with their most commercially successful album, 2008's Watch Me Disappear.
After an eventful 13-year journey from Shepparton to Hollywood and back, Augie March, led by songwriter and vocalist Glenn Richards, went on indefinite hiatus in 2009 following troubles with record labels, but today they way goodbye to music purgatory.
