Hold onto your butts, Arctic Monkeys fans, because the band’s highly-anticipated sixth album is on the way.
Speaking with motorcycling website For The Ride, Arctic Monkeys bassist Nick O’Malley has revealed that the group’s next record will be out in 2018, because “if it isn’t, we’ve got problems”.
Alex Turner and company started recording the album in a “secret location” earlier this month, according to For The Ride, which means things are definitely on track for a early-to-mid 2018 release.
News of the album’s potential release schedule comes after members of the band were spotted in a studio earlier this year, which left fans frothing.
Arctic Monkeys released their latest album AM way back in 2013, and haven’t toured Australia since 2014.
Let’s hope that changes soon enough.
