The Jewish Museum of Australia in Melbourne is set to host a collection of Amy Winehouse‘s more well-known outfits, instruments and records from October 2017.
Amy Winehouse: A Family Portrait was originally curated for the Jewish London Museum by Amy’s brother Alex and sister-in-law, Riva. It launched in 2013 and has since been on display in Amsterdam, San Francisco, Vienna and Tel Aviv.
The exhibition also features personal items and belongings from the five time Grammy Award winner, and will be split into four sections, ‘Life in London,’ ‘Fashion,’ ‘Musical Influences,’ and ‘Faith’.
“For someone who died so tragically, this is an exhibition bursting with warmth, life and affection,” wrote Time Out of the exhibition. “In the words of her big brother, ‘This is a snapshot of a girl who was to her deepest core simply a little Jewish kid for north London with a big talent’.”
Winehouse died six years ago of accidental alcohol poisoning.
Amy Winehouse: A Family Portrait will be on show exclusively at the Jewish Museum of Australia, St Kilda from 22nd October 2017, through to 25th March 2018.
