Reports Triple M, the record will be out August 29th and the station will be premiering its first single Repo Man this Friday. The drummer turned frontman told the station the material on the rest if the album is even better than the single.
“I hope everyone thinks this is a great album from start to finish because that’s the idea,” he said. “We didn’t put anything on there that we didn’t like. There’s no filler. There’s plenty of Phil but no filler.” Rudd also commented on the new AC/DC album which the band officially finished recording at Bryan Adams‘ studio in Vancouver.
“We’re happy to have it done and it’s all very good, by the way,” he said. “There’s no comparisons between the two but they’re both very good.” AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson previously commented the band have considered calling their new record Man Down, in reference to their ill bandmate, AC/DC founder Malcolm Young.
Last week Johnson also confirmed that their ailing guitarist Malcolm Young is currently in hospital. “We miss Malcolm obviously. He’s a fighter. He’s in hospital but he’s a fighter. We’ve got our fingers crossed that he’ll get strong again,” he told Classic Rock magazine.
