Right now, over 7000 young Australians are living in aged care because there are few other alternatives. A further 700,000 are being care for at home by family and friends with limited support.

It rarely occurs to us that something might happen today that could change our life or the life of someone we love... for the worse... But each day catastrophic things happen to change young people's lives forever... car accidents resulting in acquired brain injuries, a diagnosis of MS...

And if it happens, the most likely outcome that young people are faced with is to live in aged care facilities where the average age is 83, life expectancy is less than 3 years, and visits from family and friends are less than once a month.

Youngcare is an organisation that was established in 2005 following the inspirational story of one woman's battle to find relevant and dignified care. Youngcare is committed to choice in care and housing for young Australians with full-time care needs.

In memory of Josh Scott Paul, we will be hosting a charity fundraising ball in Sydney at Doltone House on Friday 14th November, to raise further awareness of Youngcare and the great work they are doing.
