Energetic Brit style indie rock band YO, burst onto the Adelaide music scene in early 2013, and have been steadily gaining a reputation playing venues around the city. The boys will begin recording their debut E.P in February at Vagabond studios and are set for an East Coast tour in the middle 2014. It's safe to say 2014 is the year of Young Offenders.

Drawing influence from a broad range of artists, including The Clash, Arctic Monkeys, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Ramones, Young Offenders boasts an organic, raw, original sound, coupled with a live energy that has received acclaim from critics and audiences across Adelaide.

Young Offenders released a double single at the beginning of the year, working with Aria nominee Matthew Hills.

Young Offenders recently supported UK indie legends The Cribs on their 10th Anniversary tour. To which they got great reviews,

"Local band Young Offenders, were solid and seemed as if they had their own fan club in attendance. These lads definitely have stage presence and no doubt will be one to keep an eye out for in 2014." Rip It Up Magazine

"Adelaide locals Young Offenders were the first act to head on stage for the night. This was the first time I'd caught wind of the Young Offenders, and now here I am waiting for them to headline their own show. The boys portrayed a brilliant indie/punk cross-mix of Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes. On stage, they looked and sounded like they had been a band performing live for several years. You can expect big things from these boys." The AU Review

"Young Offenders were the first act to open the night. This four-piece band was very energetic and vibrant, combining Brit-pop styled vocals by their English-accented lead singer and accompanying it with punk styled fast guitars and eclectic bass. The stand out of their set was the two covers the boys performed by Jamie T and The Subways, which allowed them to add their own twist on both tracks. The blend of Brit-pop and punk is scarce in the local music scene, so it's good to see a new young band taking a risk with their sound and doing it justice." The AU Review.

"In short, this single is the kinda punk-rock you might expect from kids who grew up playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and digging the soundtrack, and since I reckon they're about my age I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case. It's all over in about three minutes and is short and sweet enough to get you hitting the replay button." A3 Music Online (UK)
