The 8th Annual West Coast Blues n Roots Festival returns in 2011 on Sunday 17th April 2011 with its greatest line up to date.

WA's most unique and broadly appealing festival, tailored to the true music lover, West Coast Blues'n'Roots is filled with pride to announce its return in 2011, with a simply stunning array of artists on offer, headlined by none other than Bob Dylan. Add this to a new and improved site layout and a live music quiz show, and weve got ourselves something to sing about!

We're thrilled to present;

Bob Dylan (USA), Elvis Costello and the Imposters (UK), The Cat Empire, Rodrigo Y Gabriela (MEX), Gurrumul, Michael Franti and Spearhead (USA), Blind Boys of Alabama with Aaron Neville (USA), RocKwiz Live, Mavis Staples (USA), Robert Randolph and the Family Band (USA), Toots and the Maytals (JAM), Washington, Ruthie Foster (USA) and local acts to be announced.

There will be just one more announcement to come, as Sunset Events are again proud to announce the return of Breakthrough to Blues n Roots. Local, unsigned bands are encouraged to submit an application through Sonicbids, where a handful of chosen bands will have the chance to battle it out for the final spot on this amazing line up. And for the first time, were proud to introduce something a little different. Its quiz time! Yep, those musical genius-types seen on SBS's RocKwiz will be taking the show on the road, testing the knowledge of artists playing at the festival as well as picking out members from the audience, battling out for well... simply the honour of winning! Hosts Julia Zemiro and Brian Nankervis will be dishing out the questions, so we suggest you start brushing up on your music knowledge!

We are again including the chance to offset carbon emissions by including the optional $3 (inc GST) Green Fee. This contribution helps reduce the festivals carbon footprint from travel (especially those of you who are travelling from regional areas to the event) and also contributes to the eco initiatives on site.

• Patrons under 18 will only be permitted if they have a valid Under 18 Ticket and are accompanied at ALL times by their parent.
  
• All parents will be required to complete a Family Welfare Registration Form before entering the festival site.
  
• West Coast Blues n Roots is a Smoke Free event. NO SMOKING around the festival site, except in the designated smoking areas.
