After first hitting the circuit in mid-2011, the guys from War in Arcadia managed to take out a battle of the bands win in their first performance. The prize forwarded the trio the opportunity to record their acclaimed self-titled EP at Basin Productions, which they launched in Dec '11 before hundreds of punters at Melbourne’s renowned Corner Hotel. With a mix of riffy alternative funk-rock, 90s pop, and Buckleyesqe vocals, the lads have managed to take their highly energetic set to some of Melbourne’s top venues. They saw their bassist off to Europe in March of this year while at their peak; however he is set to return just in time for the release of the band’s debut film clip, being launched on Saturday August 4 at Revolver Upstairs. Support acts include The Kodiak Club, Fahrenheit 43, Quarterdrive and Roslyn Heavy.
