Come to Vinny Lunar’s ‘Maria’ single launch party at the OAF Gallery bar for a night of live rnb, hip hop and beats from Sydney artists!

Vinny Lunar is a unique voice in Australian urban music, blending the sultry crooning of classic R'n'B with modern electronic soundscapes. Vinny's latest single, "Maria", out now on Inertia Access, is the first cut from his upcoming self-titled EP (due out in early 2018).

"'Maria"is a dark, brooding electronic  track that blends luscious synths, moody samples and a driving beat with Vinny's soulful voice and hypnotic rap flow. The song draws from the undeniable melodies of 90s-era Usher, Banks and the atmospheric production of the Weeknd and PartyNextDoor. Hope in the future is something that's a part of my DNA. I'm always trying to see something beautiful in the bleak. During the making of this single, I was struck by the imagery and edginess of dystopian films like Blade Runner and Metropolis, and I wanted to bring that feel to my music too." - Vinny Lunar

Emerging on the scene in early 2013, Vinny Lunar released two acclaimed releases under his previous moniker VCS - debut album 'Awake' (2013) and EP 'Morning' (2015). Vinny has enjoyed airplay on FBi Radio, Triple and 2Ser, with Spotify Australia featuring his track 'Final Peace' on their Australian Sound playlist. Vinny Lunar has also worked with some of the most exciting names in Australian music. Impressed by the chill vibes of 'Awake', acclaimed electronic-pop singer Elizabeth Rose collaborated with Vinny on the tracks 'Can I Keep U?' (2015) and ''Only Me' (2014).

He has also collaborated with Sydney Chill-wave duo Polographia on their track 'Right On' (2015). This was followed by his release of 'Dare' in late 2016. To celebrate the release of 'Maria' and his forthcoming self-titled EP, Vinny will be playing a launch show at Oxford Art Factory in early 2018. He will be joined by an array of Sydney based and Hip Hop artists with support from Rennan and special guests. This is one show that you don't want to miss!
