LIVE IN THE BASEMENT // Unwinded presents a night of '60s garage rock and psychedelic pop // FREE ENTRY

Zoë Fox and The Rocket Clocks

Bringing together both forces of dark and light, space explorers, Zoë Fox and the Rocket Clocks launch into a mixed salad of psychedelic pop, enter time warps of soft lullabies and then blast into the future with classic disco tunes. It’s smart, memorable, pop songwriting delivered with an unforgettable vocal tone that swirls all around you one moment and cuts right through you the next. Old world sounds delivered with a modern twist.

After starting out just over a year ago, Zoë Fox and the Rocket Clocks have gone from strength to strength. Last year saw them bring in the New Year at New Years Eve on the Hill, this year saw them bring it in at the Lorne leg of The Falls Festival. Add to that supports for the skyrocketing Diddiri and The Teskey Brothers and you can start to gauge how in demand this band really is.

With space costumes, psych jams, that voice and a whole lot of fun, it’s no wonder the group have been swiftly swooping up fans from across the globe.

Sunfruits are a psych pop/60s pop band from Melbourne. Founded by Winter McQuinn (Cracker La Touf, Culte, IV League), their members include Acacia Coates (Slush, Pinch Points), Shelby De Fazio (Bad Bangs) and Gene Argiro (Edamame).

The Sunfruits sound is akin to bands like Babe Rainbow, Nice Biscuit, La Luz, Levitation Room. Their songs are both psychedelic and poppy, featuring sonically wavy guitar parts filled with chorus and delay, melodic bass lines, driving, upbeat drums.

"On their debut single All I Want Sunfruits serve up a gloriously woozy dose of '60s tinged psychedelia, offering us a perfect introduction into their sun-kissed world" Trouble Juice blog, 2019.
